A Happy List of Songs
I’ve always loved music. Ever since I was a little girl, I was always surrounded by music. My parents had a large custom-made piece of furniture which had a turntable and built-in speakers. Records were often played in our home and I have fond memories of me standing on my Dad’s feet as we would dance around the living room floor.
In my bedroom, I always had music playing. When I was very young, I listened to music on a little rectangular AM radio and also had a record player in a case. Eventually, my parents bought me a Panasonic Toot-a-Loop radio. I eventually got a Panasonic 8-Track Tape Player which lead to having a cassette player. Vinyl records were always my favorite. I remember my Dad belonged to a record club and he’d always buy me records from there. A favorite memory of mine was when my dad bought me an entire stereo system, boasting with a receiver, an equalizer, 8-track/cassette player and turntable in a glass fronted case.
I don’t remember a time when music wasn’t playing. Whether I was in my room, walking to school with my radio, or sitting outside, it was always there. Music has always been a part of my life.
I have always enjoyed a wide variety of music and I still do. My playlists are extensive and they consist of songs from many genres and decades.
I’d like to share some songs with you from my playlists that all have one thing in common. Each song always has me either singing along or dancing and they always get my spirits soaring.
