Intention is Our North Star

We are a cover band who plays songs you know off of the radio, but we don’t play them in their basic fashion. Instead, we create and give a unique vibe to each and every song on our setlist. We create amazing endings, and each track has it’s own special moment. Whether it be an instrumental solo by one of the guys or what I like to refer to as “Dari-zing,” each song is unique and we make it our own.

The interaction between us is so energizing. Out enthusiasm is grounded and genuine and brings joy to each and every song we do.

We have this undercurrent that carries us through each and every moment together.

We are prepared, focused and invested in our band, Our energy and intention makes our rehearsal fun and it never feels like work because we are playful and creative.

Enthusiasm is our North Star. It is our intention. Our goal is not only to entertain your ears but also your eyes. We want you to have a visual experience unique to each song we play. Our hope is that our interpretation of each song flows from our soul to yours.

We look forward to seeing you and connecting with you through our music.

Do You Have Musical Dreams?

If you have musical dreams and you are caught up in the fear of failure, read on.

The fear of failure is often an obstacle that we face with our creative pursuits and dreams. Fear shows up when we are uncertain of the outcome as well as being in a new and often unknown territory.

The fact is even the greatest and most successful musicians have all had to deal with their share of rejection, setbacks and moments of self-doubt. Those who are successful are the ones that were willing to confront any and all challenges head-on.

When you change your perspective on the fear of failure, success will be yours. Rather than saying “this is the end of the road” change your view and say “this is a necessary part of my journey.”

I had my share of setbacks. Whether I made errors, lost bandmates or faced rejection, all were experiences to learn and grow, They were my stepping stones toward my ultimate goal. You need to embrace setbacks in order to learn from them and allow them to fuel your fire toward your progress.

The most challenging aspect of pursuing your musical dreams is taking that first step. Once that step is taken you continue to put one foot in front of the other (yes, I’m singing that in ny head at the moment) and keep moving forward.

Look at your musical dreams and be sure to set a realistic goal. Once you have that goal, break it down and categorize it into smaller and more achievable goals. This will allow your end goal to be much more manageable,

Make time to practice regularly and be persistent. With consistency and practice, you will not only boost your self-confidence but you will increase your skill and perfect your craft day-by-day.

Always have people around you for support, encouragement and guidance. When you feel like giving up, they will allow you to see that giving up is not an option.

As with anything in life, stay positive. Always focus on your progress. Dwelling on past mistakes will not get you anywhere. Remember that old saying about not looking in the rearview mirror.

Always remember your passion for music. Allow your passion to be the driving force that pushes you down the road towards your goal even when you experience a setback,

In order to conquer your fear of failure, you will need to achieve and maintain self-confidence. Self-confidence is necessary and so important, both artistically and for personal growth. Once you feel self-confident, continue with your progress. Welcome any new challenges and conquer them. Confidence is a dynamic mindset and it is a powerful catalyst which will bring you to greater heights.

Embrace your self-confidence and fearlessness on your journey. By doing so, you will reach your full potential and you will create a path which others will find inspiring, Your great personal journey will absolutely inspire others,

Never allow fear to be the reason you abandon your dream. Embrace any possible errors and setbacks as a learning experience. By doing so, you allow yourself to take that first step which is necessary for success. Remember it’s perfectly fine to make mistakes, to have setbacks and to face rejection. In the end, they will all be part of your individual story and will make your achievement that much more meaningful.

Never allow fear to hold you back from your musical dream. Allow fear to be your driving force that moves you forward.

Embrace the fear of failure and the unknown. Learn from any setbacks you experience and always allow your passion for music to be your guide.

Your musical dreams are attainable. You just have to take that first step.

“Don’t You Forget About Me”

“Don’t You Forget About Me” is an American 1980’s masterpiece. It resonates with every single one of us who grew up with the song.

The song was written by Keith Forsey, an English songwriter for The Breakfast Club. The song had a bumpy road towards its journey to what turned out to be a huge success.

Keith Forsey originally wrote the song for Simple Minds, but to his surprise, they rejected it. He was determined to change their minds.

Jim Kerr, the lead singer for Simple Minds said that Forsey’s determination was unwavering. They went back and forth numerous times. The band was working on an album at the time and they didn’t want to touch the song.

Forsey did not give up easily and he made another attempt by flying to London in order to present new material to the band. At the very last minute of his proposal, he once again pitched “Don’t You.” Surprisingly, this time Simple Minds agreed to record the song. Jim Kerr and the band were captivated by Keith Forsey’s enthusiasm so they decided to try it.

In the studio that afternoon, “Don’t You” came to life. Simple Minds tweaked it a bit in order to imprint their own vibe and sound on it. A fun fact: Jim Kerr added the “la, la-la-la-la” at the end of the song simply because he didn’t have any lyrics. He planned on writing ending lyrics but Keith Forsey insisted that they keep the la-la’s at the end of the song.

Smple Minds wasn’t known in the United States until 1985 when “Don’t You” debuted as the track for both the opening and closing credits for The Breakfast Club. When the movie track was released, “Don’t You” immediately went to the number one position on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

Prior to releasing “Don’t You,” Simple Minds had a fair amount of critical success. There is no denying that this particular song was what kicked the door wide open for the band.

Keith Forsey also feels that the song was his greatest achievement and that it changed his life. The song continues to be a hit and has had a lasting effect on the music industry.

We perform this song at our gigs. It’s a brilliant song that we love to do and one that the audience loves to hear.

“Don’t You Forget About Me” is a timeless classic and the reality is we will never “forget” about this song.

A Happy List of Songs

I’ve always loved music. Ever since I was a little girl, I was always surrounded by music. My parents had a large custom-made piece of furniture which had a turntable and built-in speakers. Records were often played in our home and I have fond memories of me standing on my Dad’s feet as we would dance around the living room floor.

In my bedroom, I always had music playing. When I was very young, I listened to music on a little rectangular AM radio and also had a record player in a case. Eventually, my parents bought me a Panasonic Toot-a-Loop radio. I eventually got a Panasonic 8-Track Tape Player which lead to having a cassette player. Vinyl records were always my favorite. I remember my Dad belonged to a record club and he’d always buy me records from there. A favorite memory of mine was when my dad bought me an entire stereo system, boasting with a receiver, an equalizer, 8-track/cassette player and turntable in a glass fronted case.

I don’t remember a time when music wasn’t playing. Whether I was in my room, walking to school with my radio, or sitting outside, it was always there. Music has always been a part of my life.

I have always enjoyed a wide variety of music and I still do. My playlists are extensive and they consist of songs from many genres and decades.

The Magic of Music

Music is powerful. It has the ability to calm us by bringing us comfort, cause us to reflect and relax or motivate us and invoke energy.

Life without music whether it be the melodies, the harmonies, or those fun beats, would not be the same. It would certainly be more difficult to cope with stress, anxiety and sadness. Research has shown that music has the ability to support our emotional, mental and physical health. It elevates and moves us.

Music has the ability to invoke so many emotions. The effect that music has on our emotions is tremendous. Music can open a floodgate of tears or release bursts of both energy and laughter.

Did you know that listening to your favorite song causes the release of dopamine? Dopamine released into the brain helps prevent depression. Everyone should have a playlist of their favorite upbeat songs that they can play whenever they are feeling down. Play the playlist, sing along and get up and dance to release endorphins, also known as the “happy hormones.”

Calm music is perfect when you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed and when your body and mind need to rest. It has been shown that when you listen to peaceful music, relaxation occurs by slowing your breathing, your heart rate and even lowering your blood pressure. Stress hormones are also greatly reduced.

Upbeat music will boost motivation and increase your energy. Most people use music when they exercise, whether it be indoors at a gym or running outside. Fast, upbeat music increases your heart rate and gives you energy.

Music improves our focus and our attention. It helps with memory and learning new things. It can actually boost mental performance when studying or working. Stimulating songs will power on your attention. Classical music has actually been found to increase a balanced, calm state of mind and improve learning. Music also has a profound effect on people with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Music can awaken a part of the brain and evoke responses such as moving and singing, even giving even a brief connection with their loved ones.

Music is like a Time Machine. It has the ability to take us back in time. We can revisit moments that we forgot, moments that we thought were lost forever. Listening to the same music that we listened to in the past creates associations in our brain. We immediately reconnect with the same emotions that we experienced so many years ago.

Music is universal and brings people together. Music is a language everyone understands no matter what language is spoken or where someone is from. It connects people at concerts, places of worship, parties and at clubs. Research has shown that music releases oxytocin, the “love hormone’ which allows us to feel empathy for others and brings us together.

Just like meditation, walking or being outdoors in nature, music improves our well-being. Music is a way to change our mood, evoke old memories and create powerful connections with others.

So dance, sing along and reap all of the benefits that music has to offer. Music is something that should not only be heard, it should be felt.

A Favorite Song: Silver Springs

I have many songs that are up there as favorites, but “Silver Springs” is definitely in my top ten.

Did you know that Silver Springs, written by Stevie Nicks, was originally rejected by Fleetwood Mac? It was cut from Rumour’s - Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 most well-known album. Mick Fleetwood and Lindsey Buckingham confronted Stevie outside of the studio and told her they were going to scrap the infamous masterpiece. It happened to be about her breakup with Buckingham. A haunting song that she viewed as the greatest song she had ever written.

Fleetwood and Buckingham wanted to remove the song in order to make room on the album for “I Don’t Want to Know.” Though she also wrote this song, Nicks was much less fond of it and much less emotionally attached to it. The band had already started recording this track without her. This did not go over well with Nicks. She confronted her bandmates about making a final decision without her.

Her anger turned to tears and not much later a peace offering was created. The band decided to not get rid of “Silver Springs” entirely. They decided to move it to the B-side of the album’s very first single, “Go Your Own Way,” in which ironically Buckingham talks about the breakup as well.

When Rumours was released in 1977, it immediately solidified Fleetwood Mac as icons in the rock and roll world because of hit songs like “The Chain” and “Dreams.”

“Silver Springs” remained absent from the album for two decades. Stevie actually left Fleetwood Mac in 1990 after a fight with Mick over the rights to the song. They reunited in 1993 and in 1997 a live album, The Dance, was released with “Silver Springs” on it. It was live, it was raw and it was amazing,

Outside of the song’s extremely powerful lyrics, it has a captivating bewitching sound. When you watch The Dance video for “Silver Springs,” the connection between Nicks and Buckingham is undeniably and obviously intense. It’s chill-inducing. The looks, the sound, the intensity.

While performing “Silver Springs” for the audience, Nicks turns to Buckingham, locks eyes with him as he provided back-up vocals while playing guitar, and belted the chorus “I’ll follow you down ‘til the sound of my voice will haunt you…. Give me just a chance…. You’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loves you.” It’s a must-listen and a must-watch.

Their chemistry is undeniable. The audience was completely captivated. You will be as well.

Today, it’s all over TikTok. TikTok users are constantly uploading videos of this iconic performance.

We will never truly know the truth between them. All I do know is “Silver Springs” is iconically powerful and will always be a favorite of mine,

Vinyl Records

It was during the 1960’s and 1970’s that the record industry skyrocketed with booming sales of vinyl records. In 1978, sales peaked for vinyl LP’s and EP’s at 2.5 billion dollars and accounted for 59.5% of total revenue of recorded music. Listening to records was a classic pastime for both young and old alike. Stereo began to grow in popularity and people started to add high-fidelity turntables and speaker systems into their homes.

Because of home audio being so popular, record clubs grew as well. Record clubs were mail-order companies that delivered records straight to your home. Music labels were known to use record clubs to target new consumers and boost sales.

Vinyls were the leading music format until advancements became more popular in the industry. In 1979, the Sony Walkman caused the initial decline of vinyl sales. After all, cassette tapes and the Sony Walkman were portable and vinyls were obviously not. Vinyls remained popular because cassette tapes didn’t offer anything near the same sound of vinyl. Audiophiles were dedicated.

In 1983, the CD was introduced. CDs became the preferred format for audio because of their storage capacity, convenience and sound. CDs were not affected by dusty grooves and had no risk of warping. It was during the 1990’s that vinyl record sales began to decline quickly.

After record sale lows (no pun intended), in 2006, vinyl record sales began to rise. By the end of 2020, vinyl record sales reached 27.5 million units. CD sales started to fall and vinyl record sales started to boom.

For some, such as myself, vinyl records never went “out of style.” Presently, sales of vinyls are by the brand new consumer or those that are returning to vinyls after decades of purchasing CDs and MP3s. Some are wishing to build a collection, others are nostalgically loving the calming feel and sound of listening to their favorite music on vinyl. Another element of sales is that stores are also a community.

There is nothing like the feeling of placing a needle on a vinyl record. The feeling starts with looking through record stores and bringing your new treasure home. You remove the plastic covering, take the record out of its protective sleeve, place it on the turntable, drop the needle and press play. You are bringing music to life and it’s a much more gratifying feeling than just opening up an app on your phone and pressing play. You are physically connected to the music and it has become a ritual,

There is no denying the warmth of a vinyl record - especially the pops and crackles. The rich sound has such a unique quality that no other digital format can ever match. The sound from a vinyl record is immersive and intimate. Vinyl records are uncompressed so you experience an uncompromised reproduction of the original recording.

Let’s also remember that both album covers and the actual vinyl record inself are true works of art. They are designed, created or photographed by artists and graphic designers.

The vinyl sleeve can provide lyrics, notes, thank you lists and behind-the-scene stories. Some vinyls will even include special gifts for fans such as stickers, calendars and posters.

Vinyl records are the only classic way to enjoy music. They have a timeless charm that transcends generations, Dedicated vinyl record fans aren’t straying away from this classic. I personally love vinyl records and hope they always remain available to purchase. I’m glad I have a turntable and an eclectic vinyl collection so I will always be able to experience the nostalgic ritual.

Cover Bands and The Joys of Live Music

Though we may not be playing or own original material (though there are plenty waiting in the arsenal), playing cover songs is still an admirable service and definitely appreciated by those who come out to see us.

As a cover band, we love to play music for others. We were once those who admired others who were on stage doing exactly what we are doing now. Back in the day, we thought it was so cool and we have always wanted to do this ourselves. We now are the ones who get people singing along, dancing, having fun and for a few hours forgetting anything that may be troubling them. That is a huge reward.

Even though it doesn’t feel like work and a job, it is. Not only do we meet weekly to rehearse but we individually practice daily in order to perfect our craft. It’s gratifying to be able to get paid for what we love to do after all of the hard work that we put into it.

When we entertain, not only to we get to be creative and self-expressive, but so does our audience. While we put our own spin on cover songs and make them our own with each of our individual styles and gifts, we hope to ignite a spark within others to sing along, dance and be self-expressive themselves.

It’s always gratifying when we are playing out and the crowd is completely into our music. We play songs that most people know and we have many well-known unexpected songs that are always a huge hit. It’s truly joyful to see the expressions on people’s faces when we start playing those blast-from-the-past songs. Nostalgia is extremely powerful and it really is a gift to witness others remembering a song from decades past while at the same time creating new memories. It’s a win-win for everyone.

Another cool thing about being in a cover band is that we get tagged in posts on Facebook as we are performing. We are on Facebook Live often as well. Not only is it cool, but it’s a feeling of joy and accomplishment to know that our efforts have paid off and are now being captured and enjoyed by others both locally and far away.

We meet new people. We not only met each other and have become close friends and family, but we meet new people every time we play out. It’s always nice to connect with others and form new relationships. Music connects people are we are fortunate to experience that every time we are out playing a gig.

Not only do we meet new people, but those who come out to see us meet new people. Live music is a connector. It is a catalyst for forming connections and building friendships. It has always transcended barriers and it has the ability to bring people together as they share the same experience. In today’s disconnected world due to technology, the power of music is more valuable than it has ever been. People don’t feel isolated and alone when they are out in the company of others enjoying music.

For those few hours that we play, we help with stress management while offering a communal experience. We can improve moods, while offering a lively experience. We evoke memories while offering a nostalgic experience. We offer socialization by offering a social connection experience. We even help burn calories and exercise with movement!

Plato once said “Music gives soil to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.”

The experience of live music enriches our lives. It creates lasting memories, forms new connections, inspires self-expression and simply touches our souls.

Come out and see us and experience and embrace this power because there is nothing like the thrill and vitality of live music.

Around and Around

“Around and Around” was originally written and recorded by Chuck Berry in 1958. Berry said in his autobiography that “Around and Around” came to him while jamming just before going out on stage to perform. He explained that there was a riff that was played during this jam session that never left his memory. “Around and Around” was created and it was chosen as the B-Side for his infamous and most recognizable hit “Johnny B. Goode.”

It was the first song that Mick Jagger sang when he and Keith Richards sat in with the group Blues Inc. in 1962. The Rolling Stones went on to record it in 1962 but it was never released. It was not until 1964 that they re-recorded it for their 12 x 5 album.

It’s another rock ‘n roll bluesy song with a really fun and catchy vibe. It’s a song about an all-night rockin’ club which caused people to complain and the police to show up but nothing stopped this club from continuing on rockin’.

“And when the police knocked, those doors flew back. But they kept on rockin’……”

A catchy tune and it is my absolute favorite song to sing. I have my guitarist, Jim, to thank for this addition to our setlist. He mentioned the song to me and as soon as I listened to it, I knew. Not only did I add it for our next rehearsal list for everyone in the band to learn, but it was performed at our very next gig and is now a staple on every gig setlist.

We will be performing this song and many others Saturday, July 13th at The Lamplighter in Chester, New Jersey and Saturday, July 27th, at Pat’s Bar and Grill in Mount Arlington, New Jersey.

This is a song I can guarantee will get you on your feet!

Come on out to see us and be sure to come up and say hello. We love to meet our followers!

Bad, Bad Leroy Brown

Did you know that there really was a Leroy Brown?

When Jim Croce finished college, he wanted to avoid getting drafted and being sent to Vietnam so he signed up for the National Guard. It was when he was at a base in South Carolina, that Croce met a guy named Leroy Brown. Croce and Brown got along very well and actually sang together. But Brown didn’t like the National Guard and he went AWOL. Croce claims that when Brown appeared a week later to pick up his paycheck, he was arrested.

The Leroy Brown that Jim Croce knew really had nothing to do with the Leroy Brown in his famous song. He turned the National Guardsman into the legendary Chicago tough ass that we call came to know - the one who was intimidating with his clothing, his fancy cars, the expensive jewelry and concealed weapons. The only real commonality between the two was that they both made a bad decision and in the end, paid for it.

The Leroy Brown in the song is a wrong-side-of-the-tracks figure. He is an outlaw who gets into a fight with the wrong people in the end. He is a slick gangster type who chases women but he is not as tough as he thinks he is.

The song itself has a blues boogie-woogie beat with a really cool groove. It’s a 1970’s classic and very catchy. A fun fact: Two different wrestlers actually took their names from this song. “Bad, Leroy Brown” and “Junkyard Dog.”

We love performing this song. I absolutely love singing it and our drummer, Sean, gets a kick out of the Dari-isms that I bring to the song.

We will be at The Lamplighter in Chester on Saturday, July 13th and you can hear us perform this one and many other 1970’s classic rock songs.

Gold Dust Woman

Anyone who knows me knows that I love Stevie Nicks. I was blessed to see her February 10, 2024 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Atlantic City. I was second row, center and it was truly a magical experience. I wanted to make this post about one of my inspirations for doing what I do.

Though I was up close when I saw this beautiful creature, even from the back row, there is no mistaking her passion that reigns within her. The way she raises her arms, it is magical to see her basking in the sound that she herself is creating.

Stevie Nicks was born May 26, 1948. She is known for her hippie persona and her unique deep and raspy voice. This rock and roll legend is filled with passion, a wild heart and true grit. She has released many studio albums during her career as both a solo artist and in the ever so legendary band, Fleetwood Mac.

Stevie’s love of music began in early childhood; however, she did not begin writing her own music until she was fifteen. It was then that she received a guitar and wrote her first song, “I’ve Loved and Lost.” Stevie soon after joined a folk-rock band called The Changing Times and she sang in that band until 1966 when her family moved.

During her senior year of high school, Stevie met Lindsey Buckingham. Buckingham was an upcoming guitarist in a rock band called Fritz, in California. Stevie and Lindsey met at a party. Lindsey was performing a cover of California Dreamin’ and Stevie spontaneously decided to harmonize with him. A few months later, the drummer of Fritz contacted Stevie and asked her if she wanted to join their band. She immediately agreed. Fritz opened for some legendary artists such as Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin.

Lindsey and Stevie worked in a very close, intimate proximity as they recorded for Fritz in a coffee warehouse which was owned by Lindsey’s father. After about ten months of recording, the feelings of love that had been brewing for years became public and official.

In the late part of 1971, the two moved in together in Los Angeles, which was the hotspot in the 70’s for music. Lindsey was touring with the Everly Brothers at that time and Stevie worked as a waitress and housekeeper for Keith Olsen, a music producer. Olsen helped them produce their very first album, Buckingham Nicks, in 1973. Because the album did not receive enough recognition, Nicks and Buckingham were dropped by the label. This vinyl is still wanted by every Nicks and Fleetwood Mac fan.

About a year later, Olsen played a track off of that album. The track was called Frozen Love and it was played for Mick Fleetwood - the drummer for Fleetwood Mac. Fleetwood Mac was originally a British blues band but by the end of 1974, Buckingham was asked to join Fleetwood Mac as their lead guitarist. He refused to join the band without Stevie.

Nicks insisted that they accept this offer. She was over waitressing during the day and recording in the evening. Stevie’s initial desire to join Fleetwood Mac was mainly because of promised income. On January 1, 1975, Stevie and Lindsey began rehearsing with Fleetwood Mac.

Stevie wrote Landslide while she was struggling with her next step in her life path. It was released on Fleetwood Mac’s 1975 self-titled album. This album was a platinum album 20 times and hit number one on the US Billboard with three songs reaching the Top 20.

Steady income was coming in from Fleetwood Mac; however, in 1976 Stevie broke up with Lindsey but they promised to not allow that to affect Fleetwood Mac. This become very obvious in 1977, when their all-time greatest album, Rumours, was released. Rumours hit the Billboard charts with four singles and Stevie’s “Dreams” hit number one. At the 1978 Grammy Awards, Rumours received Album of the Year. It’s truly an iconic album on all of rock and roll’s three fundamentals - love, drugs and heartbreak. It’s truly a must-have for any music lover’s collection.

Go Your Own Way is a major example of Stevie’s and Lindsey’s animosity. His crude lyrics “packing up, shacking up’s all you want to do.” Stevie’s lyrics were polar opposite and filled with compassion “If I could, baby, I’d give you my world.”

It was then that Nicks wrote “Silver Springs” It was released as a b-side for “Go Your Own Way” but wasn’t added to the album until 2004. The lyrics are haunting. In 1997, during a live performance, Stevie expresses her heartache with such vulnerability that everyone who sees it can feel it. I highly recommend looking up that performance. It will hit you at your core.

Regardless of whether Stevie is part of a band or performs as a solo artist, her music is captivatingly timeless. She is authentic, strong and her emotions are part of every single song she sings.

Stevie was the first women to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, not once but twice - in 1998 with Fleetwood Mac and in 2019 as a solo artist.

As I stated earlier, I attended her concert February 10th of this year. It was an intense, magical experience. In between songs, she tells stories. She connects with her fans. She is tender, vulnerable and intoxicating.

It’s obvious why she is so loved. She has always performed with her heart and soul. Her energy radiates from within and reaches everyone in her presence. She is a truly a gift and I am grateful to have enjoyed her music all of these decades, and will always remember that magical evening.

Heat Wave 2024

Happy First Day of Summer! The Summer Solstice will arrive today at 4:50 p.m., marking today the longest day of the year. We will enjoy 15 hours of daylight today!

Today is day 4 of the heat wave here in New Jersey and we are maybe halfway through it.

I hope everyone is staying cool. Heat waves can be dangerous if you’re not careful. My heart goes out to all of the workers who are outdoors, the homeless and the animals. It’s dangerous out there and not everyone can stay indoors. If you’re outside during this heat wave, be sure to drink plenty of water. You can even pour it over your head and be sure to take necessary breaks. Another idea is to wear cooling accessories such as bandanas, towels and wrist bands that you can wet to help regulate your body temperature. Don’t overexert yourself. Nothing is worth getting sick over. Keep a close watch on your coworkers. Most people who experience heat exhaustion don’t even recognize that it’s happening to them. Watch out for each other and listen to your own body and get out of the sun if you begin to feel overheated or fatigued.

It’s really important to monitor vulnerable groups of people like small children, the elderly and anyone who has an illness that are at a higher risk. Check in on your neighbors who live alone. If you see someone struggling when you are out, ask them if they need anything.

It is so sad to know people leave children and pets in vehicles where temperatures skyrocket very, very quickly. If you see this, please do something.

Never underestimate a heat wave. Proactive measures will allow you to ride out these blazing temperatures.

Stay cool and stay safe!

Classic Rock Songs & More

Do we play classic rock? We sure do! The main difference between our cover band and many others is that we play songs that make you say “OMG! I haven’t heard that song in so long!” We play songs that you really won’t hear at any other venue. I’ve seen people stop in their tracks when certain songs come on. We give that vibe!

Here is just a small insight into some of the songs you will hear when you come out to see us play: Doctor My Eyes, Bad, Bad Leroy Brown, Ebony Eyes, Let Your Love Flow and so many others! We take it from the 70’s and play songs through the decades. There are even a few songs from the 60’s that’ll make you jump out of your seat and move onto the dance floor.

Let’s rock and roll together! Be sure to come out on July 13th to The Lamplighter in Chester, Morris County, New Jersey for a great time!

Live Music Next Month

Good Morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

I am writing to give you a brief overview of our gigs in July.

On Saturday, July 13th, we will be at The Lamplighter Restaurant in Chester, New Jersey. If you’re looking for a very warm and cozy vibe, you should definitely come out to see us. The ambiance is warm with dark wood, stained glass and more. There is a separate dining area and the bar has booths and tables all around. It reminds of me of a laid-back 1980’s club. There is even a disco ball above the dance floor! Come on out for a drink, some food and to hear your favorite rock music and more. You’ll definitely want to sing along. Out music always gets the crowd going!

On Saturday, July 27th, we will be back at Pat’s Bar & Grill in Mount Arlington! It’s going to be another great time in one of the most laid-back bars in Morris County! Great bar food, darts, a pool table and live music. It’s a win-win! You’ll hear classic rock, southern rock, 70’s music and even some rockin’ blues! People are always singing along and dancing to the music. It’s a fabulous time!

Whichever venue you decide to visit, you’ll definitely have a great time. We always leave the crowd wanting more!

We look so forward to seeing those we know and meeting so many of our new followers.

Rock ‘n Roll Live Music 6.15.24

Last night’s gig was an absolute blast! Pat’s Bar & Grill has quickly become one of our favorite places to play as a band. It definitely has that “Cheers” vibe “where everybody knows your name.”

I’ve got to say, I am really blessed with the musicians who back me up. Jim, our lead guitarist, is truly phenomenal. That guy can play anything! When you watch him play and he’s playing a solo in any song, it’s truly a work of art to witness. Sean, our drummer, in a word “Wow!” That guy takes the ball and just runs with it. Watching him is like watching Animal from the Muppets. He can rock and roll with the best of them! Last night we had who I like to call “Fill In Fred.” Our bass player was out of town due to personal reasons and Fred filled in. You’d swear he had been part of our band from the beginning. This guy doesn’t miss a beat! Our regular bass player, Pat, is truly amazing and he will be at our next gig on July 13th.

Not only are we band mates, but we are close friends and now family. Due to that, and the music we play, it’s truly an experience to be a part of. Last night we had people up on their feet, clapping, moving and singing along. That’s the vibe we provide. You will go home feeling happy so be sure to be at our next gig. We promise you an amazing time!
